ALVEA: (al-vay-ah) [Spanish] 1. A riverbed. 2. The pathway of a copious natural stream of water.

A derivative of the Spanish word “Alvea” meaning river bed, the name Alvea Spa and Wellness Center hints at the water and oasis themes predominant throughout the facility.

Alvea’s compass points are “soothing”, “relaxing”, “personalized” and “wellness”. The four points combine to suggest the spa’s holistic approach to serving its clients. Traditional spa services are paired with health and wellness services in a serene environment. Taking inspiration from the holistic ancient healing rituals of the area’s native inhabitants, the Alvea Spa focuses on the rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit.

Integrated into the design of the Kiva Club, Alvea’s soft greens and aquas provide a cooling and refreshing complement to the palette’s desert landscape colors. A warm orange also punctuates the palette for an enticing and invigorating splash of color.

Alvea team members are friendly and welcoming but convey a calm, quiet and discreet demeanor that is important in making a spa experience comfortable. 

Alvea’s mood is reminiscent of a quiet desert oasis. Calm and serene in its life-giving and invigorating services. The atmosphere is cool, soothing and relaxing, taking cues from both the water features and the natural elements used in the design and construction of the spa.
